I had met both Jane & Josh over a year ago and I could not be more honoured with capturing special moments of their big day and I thank them for not just letting me be a part, but for them to put their trust into someone they barely know and very rarely take on wedding bookings.
From the moment I met this two, I knew, we’d bond and everything about this wedding was just my cup of coffee!
Between Jane and Josh they had both agreed that they didn’t want the standard “get everyone in a group, stand still, snap” they wanted as much coverage of spur moment as possible.
They wanted their day documented. Which is completely fine by me! I loved this idea, it’s totally me!
Of course, it didn’t all stay like that, there was a couple of non-candid images because it had to be done as some people wanted those special moments, the traditional style.
I adore everything about this wedding, everything. However the one thing, I adored the most.
I am sure it’s EVERY female photographer’s favourite part, especially as she’s not been wedded herself - just eyeballing the bride’s dress to every given detail.
The cut, the material, the thing that makes it unique and personal to them.
I frigging LOVE Jane’s dress. The little bit of lace in the middle is the part that gives it that beautiful finishing touch. And Jane knew this, she knew what she wanted & she OWNED it.
What made it even more unique with this dress, it was made with love by a very creative individual who knew exactly what Jane wanted from their first encounter. Kyla, you are wizard with your talents!
If you’d like your dress or even to have something nice to wear & to be created for a special occasion be sure to check out www.roamerrose.com for a handmade & bespoke piece of clothing that no-body, and I mean NO-BODY will have. Kyla has that creative eye that no-one can handle! One of the reasons why Jane and her mum, Caroline, had something made by this particular designer.
Now I have been very lucky that when I’ve been given the chance to work outside my comfort zone and at a wedding that my weddings have been super chilled.
Jane, at moments most bride would go crazy (and they’re allowed to be) she kept herself together.
I mean on top of the “stress” they’ve got anyway, how many bride's-to-be d’ya know of who’ would be more than happy and willing to do not only their own hair & make-up but the bridesmaids too?
Yeah, Jane did, she did her own and she did both of her maids too. Literally so much talent and patience.
I would love to (again) congratulate Josh and Jane for making this big day happen as well as a massive good luck and full of happiness in their next capture in life.
And I do hope to see them again very soon (we need coffee date!)
Here attached to this very bizarre and messy wedding entry are some of my ultimate favourite shots from the wedding, and trust me, trying to pin out my favourites wasn’t easy as there’s just over 1,500 images.
